Friday 9th February from 6pm – 12am
888club presents a showcase of alternative electronic music from the Asian-Irish community in Dublin, featuring expansive progressive music, to abrasive noise, and tranquil ambient. As a collective, we seek to create an intersectional environment for other Asian people, POC, and migrants to engage with electronic music culture while maintaining an experimental and future-focused ethos. We centre Asian artists and their practices in order to honor Asian tradition and cultivate an authentic and radical community. The event is open to all community members of Daylight, a not-for-profit members-run social centre in the Glasnevin Industrial Estate, but will centre those of Asian heritage, POC, and migrants in Dublin. We hope to highlight this community aspect for people to connect via conversation, music, and dance– reaching new members of the Asian community and collectively broadening our perspectives.
Lineup
A community dinner/potluck will precede the event from 6PM – 7:30PM.
