RHA: A Special Lunar New Year Art Cart

Sunday, 29 January from 1pm – 5pm

Royal Hibernian Academy, 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2, D02 A213

Please drop by and join us in the atrium to get creative on your visit to the gallery! For this Art Cart, the art facilitator will demonstrate how to make felt cherry blossom and tangerine Lunar New Year wreath. Cherry blossoms and tangerines  are traditional symbols during Chinese New Year. Blossoms symbolise new beginnings, and tangerines are for luck and prosperity.

In addition, take inspiration from colours, design and experimentation at the core of In and of Itself: Abstraction in the Age of Images and make your own unique Chinese lantern that you can light up at home!

The Art Cart is a free, drop in and out, service. Please remember that parents/guardians must stay with children at all times.
