As part of the foremost generation of western-style painters in Taiwan, Chen Cheng-po was the first Taiwanese artist whose oil paintings were selected by Japanese Imperial Art Exhibition during Japanese rule of Taiwan.
February 2, 2025 is Chen Cheng-po’s 130th birthday. His painting exhibition coincides with the 2025 Lunar New Year.
