Established in 2008 by Dublin City Council, Dublin Lunar New Year (formerly Dublin Chinese New Year Festival) aims to develop and showcase the best of Sino-Hibernian and East-Asian culture in Ireland.
To this end, Dublin Lunar New Year works collaboratively with a broad range of public and private organisations, members of the Chinese and East Asian community from Dublin and beyond, with a view to leading and further developing one of the most dynamic cultural festivals in the Irish calendar of public events.
Dublin Lunar New Year has developed a highly successful model which is unique in Ireland and is widely regarded as one of the most creative and innovative Chinese New Year Festivals outside China.
The festival is committed to showcasing Chinese and East-Asian culture and heritage to our existing, new and wider audience base. It also seeks to explore the intricate rich and diverse connections between our nations while promoting interculturalism.
Dublin Lunar New Year is interested in developing mutually-beneficial partnerships with like-minded organisations for the 2021 festival and beyond.
