Participants will work with artist An Gee Chan and be introduced to one of the traditional methods that is used to create Lunar New Year decorations – paper tearing/cutting – to make semi-symmetrical images and characters that celebrate the festival.

They will also select one of their designs, to use as a screenprinting blockout stencil, to transfer and print the negative image onto a tote bag.
