Sunday 15th February 2026
11:00 – 11:30am
Celebrate the Year of the Horse with artist Chun Zhu Wang, and a creative exploration of shape, movement, and imagination. Children will learn how the horse symbolises strength, energy, and good fortune in Chinese culture, and transform these ideas into playful handcrafted artworks — a gentle and inspiring way for families to welcome the new year together.
For the activity, children will use card to create abstract horse-themed artworks inspired by Picasso’s cubist shapes. The workshop will use simple materials including scissors, colourful card, yarn or string, and glue sticks.
This event is drop in. All welcome to stay for as long or as little as you wish. Languages spoken, English, Mandarin and Irish..
