Join us on 22nd February in Wolfe Tone Square in the heart of Dublin city for a vibrant, free Lunar New Year celebration hosted by Festival Ambassador Jinny Ly.

This family-friendly event brings together performers from Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Mongolian communities to welcome the Year of the Horse in the heart of the city.

Experience the thrill of spectacular Lion dances from the Flower City Dragon and Lion Dance Association, feel the pulse of powerful Korean Samulnori drumming, and discover the elegance and discipline of Tai Chi with Sam Lee Academy – 15 performers showcasing the flowing, meditative movements of this ancient art.

Why not try a high-energy dance class with Pink K-Pop Academy, enjoy vibrant performances from the Vietnamese Student Association of Ireland, and be captivated by dazzling excerpts of Peking Opera and Chinese martial arts. Love Actually Charity presents a beautiful Traditional Chinese Costumes and Etiquette Show, while Mongolia’s Khuur Band fills the square with the soaring sounds of traditional music.

Explore a special Mongolian jewellery stall inspired by traditional designs and cultural symbolism, get your face painted as your favourite zodiac animal, try your hand at calligraphy or take part in traditional Cantonese games. You can also enjoy mouth watering Korean food from Seoul Kitchen.
