This Lunar event invites audiences to learn about Auspicious Eight through a curator-led introduction and a series of short artist talks. Curator Jinny Ly will begin by sharing the background of Auspicious Eight, her curatorial practice, and the thinking behind the selection of the featured artists.

Each artist will give a 10-minute slideshow presentation introducing their work, ideas and creative journey. Jinny will moderate a Q&A session where audience members are encouraged to ask questions—whether about individual practices, the realities of becoming an artist, or the challenges that can come with choosing art as a career.

This artist talk offers an open and supportive space to engage with both emerging and established artists, learn about contemporary art in an approachable way, and help challenge negative stigmas around art as a career within Asian communities. The event aims to inspire the next generation of Asian and Asian-Irish artists by sharing real experiences, creative paths, and future possibilities.
