The sight and sounds of horses and their owners on the streets of inner city Dublin is the present-day continuation of a long history associated with horses, their care and welfare as well as a range of associated trades and industries.
As with so much of the rich history and heritage in Dublin, evidence such as, architecture, placenames, street furnityre and artefacts of this history often hide in plain sight waiting for us to find.
Join Historian Cathy Scuffil as she explores this history, highlighting the past importance of the horse in the development of Dublin today.
This talk is a celebration for the Year of the Horse.
